YRF plays safe, averts Imran-Katrina clash
Imran Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer was to release in July; date has now been postponed
The release date of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, a Yash Raj film starring Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar has been pushed from July to September 9.
The makers saw no point in releasing the film the same month as Imran Khan's Delhi Belly and Katrina Kaif's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Says an insider, "MBKD is YRF's next big film. They decided to play it safe rather than battle it out with two other biggies starring their lead stars.
Imran Khan's DB releases July 1 and Kat's ZNMD is out July 15. The overlapping of stars might confuse audiences."
Moreover, Imran and Katrina would also be required to promote their other films. As a result, there will be clash of dates and it could affect the publicity of their film.
Since those films wouldn't move their release dates, MBKD had to.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta seems to have got quite bored with her constant link-up to Australian fast bowler Brett Lee, who now plays for her Indian Premier League team Kings XI Punjab.
The actress, who was earlier dating industrialist Ness Wadia, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to tell her friends and fans that she is just friends with Lee.
"I think being romantically linked to Brett every year is outdated and stale news now! So sorry to say folks NO NEWS here! FRIENDS yeesss (sic)," posted Preity.
The duo was recently spotted together at a restaurant in Mumbai, and according to reports, they chose to exit separately to avoid paparazzi.
Lee has expressed on many occasions earlier that Preity is his favourite actress.
Shilpa Shetty's UK estate taken over by squatter gang
A private estate in Britain that is home to a host of celebrities - including Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty - is reportedly being taken over by a gang of squatters.
The celebrity residents of the St. George's Hill community in Weybridge, Surrey, are now being asked to be "vigilant" following the arrival of the squatters, the Daily Mail reported.
Former residents of the estate include singer Elton John, former Beatle Ringo Starr and Hollywood actress Kate Winslet.
Six squatters reportedly moved into the abandoned three million pound, six-bedroom Woodlawn Cottage on the exclusive estate in April, and claim they were not acting illegally.
The property was reportedly abandoned six years ago and has since become derelict. The squatters say they plan to stay as long as possible.
"It is legal for me to be here. I found the place on Google maps so I came up to have a look and the place was open. The locks had been broken off, no one was living here, it was completely open - so why not?" a squatter named Stefan Cybulski said.
Homeowners now say they want the illegal movers out.
"It does seem pretty extraordinary that the police can't do anything to get these people off the estate," a resident said.
"They have no right to be here, yet the law appears to be on their side - it's completely wrong."
Properties on the estate are worth nearly 10 million pounds.
A security guard is now being employed to keep the property under surveillance. Police have set up extra patrol of the area.

Amitabh Bachchan gets nod of support from his 'Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap' stylist
Promos of Amitabh Bachchan in Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap has the star in a cool dude look. Big B has pushed the envelope for his character's styling.
There is even a dialogue in the film to justify his personal statement.
Bachchan has been styled by Leepakshi Ellawadi for the action flick. Puri Jagannath didn't give her a specific brief. He simply told her to listen to the character and dress him up!
Says Leepakshi, "Puri Sir provided me with the dialogues of Bachchan Sir from the movie. He wanted me to make a mental picture of the man after hearing his lingo. And then go about styling the character."
Several brainstorming sessions later, it was decided to make the Big B look peculiar, a bit outlandish...something that stands out.
Leepakshi accompanied the star on a shopping trip in London. "We picked up a lot of stuff several high-end labels. Of course, several alterations had to be made."
The Big B did express reservations. "He'd keep asking if he'd be able to carry it off and if it would look good on him. I would tell him you are Amitabh Bachchan, you can carry off anything."
As part of his look, Big B will be seen in jeans and jackets, suits and scarves. "There is everything from floral shirts to leather jackets, stylish suits and uniquely printed denims.
He will also be wearing printed scarves in different hues throughout the film," says Leepakshi who has earlier worked in Jagannath's south flicks as well as in Wanted.
"And add to this his fancy watches, blue tinted glasses and his high-end luxury wheels."
John walks to his film's sets. Chitrangda shocked
Actor was stuck in traffic for 30 minutes. Braves huge crowd of fans
On a busy morning last week, John Abraham hopped out of his car after it got stuck in traffic. He was on his way to the shooting of Shrishti Behl's untitled next, directed by Kapil Sharma. The film also stars Chitrangda Singh and Prachi Desai.
Thank God!
Says Shrishti, "We were shooting at Famous Studios in Mahalakshmi. A fallen tree was holding up traffic on Dr E Moses Road at Worli Naka at the early morning peak hour (8.30 am). A fire brigade had been called to move it.
John was stuck in traffic. After waiting for 30 minutes, he decided to walk rather than keep the unit waiting. Within minutes, a crowd had gathered around him but he didn't care. He started walking without his security.
The crowds loved him! Thankfully, he reached the studio without any untoward incident happening."
Sh adds, "Chitrangda was shocked. She didn't know the effect he has on crowds. What's amazing is that guys also love him.
John was friendly and would chat with a few people while still walking. Even at the shoot on Saturday night, the crowds were out of control."
Imran Khan and Monica Dogra take off their jeans!
This is Monica's first ad and she has also sung the jingle used for the ad.
The cutesy commercial was shot on the sets of a Mumbai studio in the span of a day.
In the ad, Khan sees the launderette empty, takes off his jeans and puts it into one of the machines to wash. He sits down in his boxer shorts to read a book.
While he waits, he doesn't notice Monica who's sitting in a corner, waiting for her washing to get done.
But she notices him. She decides to have some fun. She walks past the actor, heads to a vending machine, picks out a magazine.
And in all this time, Imran doesn't even raise his eyes from the book he's reading.
It's only when he gets up to take his jeans out of the machine does he realise that Monica isn't wearing any pants, either.

First Look: Katrina-Hrithik the hottest new pair in town
They are all set to create a drizzle of sizzle. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif are poised to become the hottest new pair in town. Katrina who has earlier sizzled with Akshay Kumar in a string of hits has found a new favourite. After shooting together in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Katrina and Hrithik are recommending one another to as many filmmakers as possible.
Says a source, “Both Katrina and Hrithik feel their on-screen chemistry is incredible. They were also very impressed by one another’s professionalism during the shooting of Zindagi…so much so that the unit referred to Hrithik as ‘the male Katrina’ and to Katrina as the ‘female Hrithik. ’ They are both married to excellence, you see. ”
Oh yes, and Katrina has one other ace up her sleeve. Hrithik’s kids adore her.
“So it’s all in the family, you see, ” says the source. Hrithik was very keen that Katrina do Krissh 3. But she had committed all her dates to Yashraj. Next year she has promised to keep time for at least two films with Hrithik.
We don’t know about zindagi. But yeh jodi milegi phir dobara.
